What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Cash-to-Cash Operations Specialist to join the Finance Operations team. The role will combine operational accounting responsibilities within Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable with the monitoring and follow-up of key performance indicators across the Cash-to-Cash cycle.
The position will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing, proper follow-up of open items, and continuous improvement of AP/AR processes, contributing to a more efficient, controlled and data-driven Finance Operations model.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and account for supplier invoices, customer invoices and related AP/AR accounting entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with internal procedures.
- Support the end-to-end management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including invoice registration, matching, coding, issue resolution and follow-up of pending items.
- Monitor key operational KPIs across the Cash-to-Cash cycle, including invoice processing times, overdue items, aging balances, blocked invoices, payment incidents, unapplied cash and process backlogs.
- Prepare recurring reports and dashboards to provide visibility on AP/AR performance, identifying deviations, risks and improvement areas.
- Proactively follow up with internal stakeholders and local teams to resolve incidents, reduce pending items and ensure timely execution of agreed actions.
- Support the implementation of action plans to improve efficiency, quality and control across AP and AR processes.
- Contribute to month-end closing activities related to AP/AR, including reconciliations, accruals, open item reviews and follow-up of aged balances.
- Ensure proper documentation of processes, controls and recurring issues, helping to standardize ways of working across the area.
- Collaborate with Treasury, Accounting, Tax, Consolidation and Business teams to ensure alignment between accounting records, cash movements and reporting needs.
- Participate in continuous improvement and digitalization initiatives, supporting automation, reporting enhancements and process simplification.
What do you need?
- · Degree in Economics, Business Administration (ADE), Finance and/or Accounting.
- · Experience in Accounting, Consolidation, Reporting, Controlling or Audit (minimum 3 years in audit, ideally Big Four).
- · Strong accounting knowledge under IFRS and Spanish GAAP (Plan General de Contabilidad) with solid financial statement analysis skills.
- · Strong systems and data toolkit: advanced Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint). Experience with SAP FI-CO and SAP BPC is highly valued; Power BI knowledge is an asset.
- · Strong personal skills: proven ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines; team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management; analytical and detail-oriented; proactive, adaptable and results-driven problem solver.
- · Fluent Spanish and English (written and spoken).
- · Continuous learning mindset and passion for innovation.
